OUR TEAM

In order to service a wide range of consultancy assignments effectively, the firm has a large pool of local and international collaborating associates, in addition to the in-house staff, who are called in when their knowledge and expertise is required. This strategy enables the firm to tailor our consulting team to a large range of assignments. The associates cover a full range of disciplines and include economists, academicians, sociologists, agriculturists, environmentalists, soil scientists, engineers, lawyers and doctors.

From this wide range of experts, the firm can assemble any type of team required to carry out consultancy services for the public or private sectors.

Price & King offers various professional services under the responsibility of a managing partner who plays a leading role in the development of our professional standards. The firm has two partners, three managers, several associates’ consultants and over ten professional staff members most of whom are university graduates and completing their finals exams of Certified Chartered Accountants of UK and Certified Public Accountants of Uganda.

The firm has also placed great emphasis on continuing professional education for its personnel. Our staffs receive regular opportunities for both local and overseas training aimed at career development, specialised knowledge and establishing contacts.

CEO-Managing Partner

Francis Onebe is the Managing Partner of the firm with responsibility for overall direction and management of the firm. A founding Partner of the firm, he rose through the ranks in Ernst & Young where he had worked for 16 ½ years both in Nairobi Kenya and Kampala Uganda offices and left when he was the Director of Audit services.

He has over 35 years experience in audit, accountancy, taxation and consultancy assignments with clients covering basically all sectors of the economy in East Africa region.

His audit experience covers nearly all sectors namely banks & financial institutions, micro finance, insurance, manufacturing, hotel, agriculture, construction, energy, aviation, communication, donor funded projects and many others. He is also an expert on value for money audits.

Over the years Francis has done many consultancy assignments which included share valuations, due diligence reviews, review of accounting systems, preparation of accounting manuals, investigations, management consultancy assignments, mergers, in depth financial management reviews, training and recruitment and audit quality reviews. He also has a very good working knowledge of Uganda Tax.

He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Certified Accountants - UK, a Member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda and also holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Nkumba University.

Francis, who is Ugandan, speaks English, Swahili, and Kumam.

Robert Kasaija is a Partner of the firm responsible for Consulting. He joined the firm in May 2007 as a Senior Manager, rose to the rank of Director in 2017 before becoming Partner in January 2020. Prior to joining Price & King, Robert started his working life after Makerere University from Ernst & Young Uganda which he joined in December 1999 as an audit trainee, rose through the ranks up to the position of Audit Manager and resigned on 30 April 2007 (i.e. seven and a half years with Ernst & Young) to join Price & King.

He has over 19 years’ experience in accounting, auditing and fraud investigations, risk management, value for money audits, financial reviews, management consulting and training assignments. He worked in senior positions as Audit Manager at Ernst & Young, Kampala and also as a Director in charge of Dynamic Consult, the consulting division of Dynamic Group Company Ltd. Robert’s experience is in the Private Sector, Government and Non-Government Sectors.

In addition to his role at Ernst & Young as Audit Manager, he was also the Training Manager in charge of learning and development. His training roles include identification of training needs, preparation of training materials and tools, coordination of trainings and direct participation in training of staff.

He is a fellow of Institute of Chartered Certified Accountants UK, a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda, holds a Master of Business Administration Edinburgh, United Kingdom and a Bachelor of Science in Quantitative Economics Makerere University Uganda.

Robert who is Ugandan, speaks English and Rutooro.
